She almost got rained out—
                but didn't.

Festival dancing, music playing,
       videos sent in real-time,

her smile lighting up my phone…

brighter than the sun that finally broke through.

I wandered through town,
        Gigi at my side,
      friends gathering,
       laughter echoing,

each goodbye carefully held back for another day.

Moments shared,
    our lives spinning in parallel,
    separate yet strangely connected—

    but in every smile,
           every laugh,
           every song,

    something still missing.

Then her name lit my screen again,
            but this time it rang—
           a real live phone call,
          like we'd forgotten how,

    voices bridging the distance…

softening the space that words couldn't fill.

A beautiful day,
    perfect in every way—
    yet somehow incomplete,

as if every good moment quietly whispered:

"This would be better with her."

Fun separated by distance,
    joy interrupted by longing,
           each of us laughing,
                  living fully,

    yet always quietly missing…

the one thing that truly completes it.
